2 THESSALONIANS 2:13-17

13. But we should always give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God has chosen you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and faith in the truth. 14. It was for this He called you through our gospel, that you may gain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15. So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter from us. 16. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us eternal comfort and good hope by grace, 17. comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.

TITUS 3:3-7

3. For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another. 4. But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, 5. He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 6. whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7. so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

JOHN 1:12-17

12. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, 13. who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. 14. And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15. John testified about Him and cried out, saying, ``This was He of whom I said, `He who comes after me has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.'" 16. For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. 17. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ.

HEBREWS 4:12-16

12. For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. 14. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. 16. Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

2 CORINTHIANS 12:8-10

8. Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me. 9. And He has said to me, ``My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. 10. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

11. Now may our God and Father Himself and Jesus our Lord direct our way to you; 12. and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; 13. so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.

PSALM 32:8-11

8. I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you. 9. Do not be as the horse or as the mule which have no understanding, Whose trappings include bit and bridle to hold them in check, Otherwise they will not come near to you. 10. Many are the sorrows of the wicked, But he who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him. 11. Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.

9. ``Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. 10. ``If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. 11. ``These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. 12. ``This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. 13. ``Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. 14. ``You are My friends if you do what I command you. 15. ``No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.
